Light Therapy Tailored to Your Skin

LED light therapy is a gentle treatment that exposes the skin to selected colours of light. Different colours are used for different skin concerns, allowing us to personalise your session rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Depending on your skin, LED therapy can be used to support clearer-looking skin, calm visible redness, improve the appearance of uneven tone, support collagen and skin rejuvenation, or help the skin recover after other treatments.

What Happens During LED Therapy?

You simply relax while the LED panel is positioned over the treatment area. The selected light is absorbed by the skin, where it can support natural processes involved in calming, circulation, collagen production and skin repair.

Our equipment offers five different light options, and your treatment may use a single colour or a combination depending on your skin goals. The treatment is non-invasive and comfortable, with no needles, no physical exfoliation nor discomfort.

LED THERAPY FOR DIFFERENT SKIN CONCERNS

Five LED Colours, Different Skin Goals

Blue LED light is commonly chosen for oily, congested and breakout-prone skin. It helps target acne-causing bacteria and can support a clearer-looking complexion while helping to reduce active breakouts and congestion.

Green LED light is used when the goal is to calm the appearance of redness and help rebalance uneven-looking skin tone. It can be a useful choice for skin that looks stressed, reactive or blotchy.

Yellow LED light is a gentle option used to support hydration, calm visible redness and encourage skin recovery. It is also commonly incorporated into treatment plans when the skin needs extra soothing after other aesthetic procedures.

Red LED light is popular for skin rejuvenation. It supports circulation and collagen and elastin production, making it a good option when your goals include smoother, firmer and more youthful-looking skin or improving the appearance of fine lines.

Near-infrared light works deeper than visible LED colours and is used to support cellular repair and skin recovery. It can be selected for inflamed or stressed skin and may also be included after other aesthetic treatments when recovery is a priority.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT

How Does LED Light Therapy Work?

LED light therapy uses specific light colours — or wavelengths —  to interact with the skin at different depths. Rather than peeling or damaging the skin, the light is absorbed by light-sensitive molecules within the skin and helps trigger natural cellular responses. This process is known as photobiomodulation.

With red and near-infrared light, much of the activity happens at a cellular level. The light can influence the mitochondria — the structures responsible for producing energy inside our cells — and the signals involved in skin repair, inflammation and collagen production. This is why these wavelengths are commonly used to support skin rejuvenation, recovery and a healthier-looking complexion.

Blue light also interacts with naturally occurring compounds associated with Cutibacterium acnes, one of the bacteria involved in acne. This light-driven reaction can help reduce acne-causing bacteria and support clearer-looking skin.

Other colours of LED light interact with the skin at different depths and may be selected according to concerns such as visible redness, uneven-looking skin tone or skin recovery.
